My attempt at clean and simple cards :)

Hi everybody,

It's been a long time since my last post here in blogland :) It's been a very busy summer at work, tourist season and the most awesome warm sunny summer ever!!!! It's been pure magic here in the west of Norway this summer, with more sunshine than we ever thought possible, and high temperatures, yaaayyyy :)

But now tourist season is coming to an end where I live, which means I've finally had some time to craft :) I've been soooo very inspired by some gorgeous clean and simple cards I've seen on pinterest, if you want to see where my inspiration came from, check out my Clean and simple card ideas board on pinterest.

now let me show you my version, not all of them will fit the clean and simple format, but I'm doing my best and having lots of fun learning to limit myself :)

For this card I just tore some papers to and glued them to the bottom of my card. I freehand cut out the trees and glued them down. The word Family is stamped.

I cut the banners and glued them down, I measured so that my houses was the same width as the banners and glued them down, drew the windows and doors using black and white pen and diecut the word HOME using my spellbinder alpha die.

The words Love you were diecut using my technique tuesday die, I glued the words down first, then I glued down the button with the twine bow and cut the banners to size and glued them down.

The banner is cut from paper and layered with washi tape. I stamped the stitching, cut a heart and glued down the technique tuesday diecut words, Love you....

I used some pieces of my hexagon backround die, layered washi tape and paper, drew the stitching using my black pen and the zig zag stitching is a stamp. LOVE was diecut using my spellbinders alpha die and you is from my technique tuesday die....

Painted some white, layered some washi tape, stamped the flowers using my stampendous stamp, on some newsprint paper, gessoed and colored them with my distress pens (tim holtz) The bumble bee is a stamp from Artjourney.nl Check their online store for some truly wonderful stamps!! I doodled from the bumblebee and drew a tiny heart to dot the i in the diecut word Friend. Friend is a spellbinders diecut.
This card is much the same as the above, but here I layered some washi tape and banners, a button and twine. The word hello is a spellbinders diecut and the heart and under line is doodled....

The tree trunk was drawn using black marker and I just glued down different buttons using my glue gun. Doodled the heart and colored it. put some twine around it at the bottom....

painted white background doodle stitching around the edge, Hope is a diecut from the wonderful Gina's design  The stamp is from Artjourney.nl

Just handcut shapes, a button, some twine and the diecut letters XO from my spellbinders alpha die....

Some burlap 'paper' from DCWV in the background here, a cut heart, a metal key with a button and some twine. The word Love is a spellbinders diecut....

I've used bazill cardstock as the base for my cards and paper scraps from different 'my minds eye' collections, some twine and buttons. And some diecuts using my big shot and dies :)

Hope you like my cards,
thanks a million for looking, I truly appreciate your kind comments.
have a wonderful day,
hugs and smiles,
Linda
