Mixed Media Monday - Personal symbols and myths

The symbol that most often appear in my art is the spiral of life, either drawn or in the form of spiraling swirls like in this collage. The spiral to me symbolises eternety, it's an ancient symbol of the goddess, the womb, fertility, feminine serpent force, continual change, and the evolution of the universe.

the background is one of my happy accident papers :), I inked and stamped it and collaged some spotty scrapbookpaper on it. The image is from landofnodstudioes and the butterfly is from collageimages on flickr. The words are from lisasalteredart.com.
