My dear mother and her boyfriend has just bought the house where she grew up as a child :) There's alot of redecorating to be done and I'm making her an album where she can keep pictures from the prosess of making it their dream home. I'm so happy they bought the house, I've got so many good memories from visiting my dear grandparents there when I grew up :)
The house was sold out of the family when my grandparents died. Then my mom's oldest sister bought it a few years ago and she and her husband lived there until my mom and Leif bought it just before Christmas. I really hope they'll be happy there and I can't wait to see how it looks when they're done. Here's some of the pages I've finished so far...
The butterfly holds the tags I made for her to use as photomats, and there's room for journalling on the back of the tags. She can also place a photo on the page under the tags. I used some butterflys, paperlace, ink and flowers to embellish the page. The background paper is from the once upon a time paperstack by DCWV. The tags are just ordinary manilla shipping tags that I inked and stamped.
The angels bed is a pocket for tags and photos and I used lacetrim, glimmermisted primaflowers and a glittered a chipboardswirl for embellishments.
My mom and Leif both Love gardening and butterflies, and this is a page for them to put pictures from the process of growing their garden. the framed butterflies is a small booklet I made with room for more pictures and pockets for tags. the butterflies were glossyaccented for more texture and the edges inked. the scalloped circle behind the butterfly was stamped and inked, and the paper is from DCWV's Mariposa stack and the background paper is from their once upon a time stack.
This shows the inside of the booklet with the photomats, and there are pockets for tags on the side and top.
I'm having such a great time working on the album and I highly recommend you give it a go if you haven't tried to make a mini album before. There are plenty of awesome tutorials on youtube, just search for mini albums and you'll see.
Have a wonderful rest of week,
Love, hugs and smiles,
Linda
