I've missed your art, your kind comments and all the fun inspirational blogging :) I've had to take a break from blogging to take care of my business, lots of administration to be done and we've had some staff on sick leave and holidays, and I've had family over for Christmas celebrations. But finally here I am, and I've made a tag for this weeks fun theme over at WS.
My tag is for a friend who accidently fell and hurt her knee real bad, so I thought I'd pop over with a flower to cheer her up :)
I started with a manilla shipping tag and painted the background. I stamped and heatembossed the flower and borders/swirls. and the stamped words are in norwegian and translates into; I thought you needed a big hug. The butterflies are from collageimages on flickr. I also clearembossed the large butterfly and stuck it on with some dimensionals. I attached the charm I made to the brad in the centre of the flower. I made it using part of a chain from an old necklace, a butterfly charm and a heart charm that says made for you. the brad and the pearl was coloured with alcohol ink to match the card.

ReplyDeleteLinda, you have started out your 2011 art with a bang! This is one of the most gorgeous tags I've ever seen. Your injured friend is sure to treasure this forever. The greens and blues of the background look so much like the sea. Wonderful work.
