The Wednesday Stamper - Trees
Here's my collage on canvasboard 'Live and love'. It was to big for my scanner and very hard to get decent pictures from, but here are the best shots :)) I used images from collageimages at flickr, lisasalteredart.com, and fleur de lis stamps. The background is painted, collaged and doodled and Marie is paperpieced from two images. All images were handcoloured by me.
Thought I'd use Marie as a stage for love, she wasn't primarily known to have too much empathy with people, but she was very much on display;), and young as she was and in her way innocent, with opportunities she didn't always use for good, I made her a stage for love. I can't take much credit for the colouring of Marie's dress. I used this image from takeabreak at flickr, and as you can see I only added a bit of purple to this wonderful dress :)) I use a waterbrush and oilbased crayons that mix with water for my colouring.
Khalil Gibrans words grow out of the tree of life :)
I also post this at the Three Muses challenge as their theme this week is Black Bird, and I have two in the down left corner, it's not this blurred in real life:))
Can't wait to see what you've all come up with for the challenges.
Thanks for looking,
Linda
