The three Muses - Fowl Play

Once upon a time, it all started with Snowhite having a bad hair day on Halloween. She felt she needed to be a bit more on the colourful side for her upcomming Halloween Ball, so she called her dear friend Cinderella for advice... Cinderella shared her story about her magical night, when she met her prince, how the fairy helped her out in her hour of need, and about the embarrasing stuff that happened after midnight...

Feeling more and more desperate, Snowhite did the 'mirror, mirror on the wall' routine and...

Voilà, the Halloween Fairy arrived on the scene. He appeared a bit dodgy, but Snowhite having dreamed of beeing Queen Halloween for quite some time now, wasn't scared by Cinderellas awful barefoot night...

so she talked her friend, little Henry Chicken into doing her a favour, and promised the Halloween fairy she'd be home before midnight.

It was wonderful!! All eyes were on her, and she was the Queen of Halloween, just like she wanted... But just like Cinderella, she had such a good time at the ball, and when the hour of midnight arrived, she thought 5 more minutes couldn't harm anyone...

Unfortunately, she'd forgotten all about Henry Chicken, who a wee bit unwillingly had joined Snowhite's quest for beauty...

The clock struck 12, and here's what happened...

(no chickens were harmed in the making of this story, the only harm done, was to Snowhites selfesteem, but she quickly recovered.)

Thanks for looking and reading!!

Linda :)

  16. Linda, I;ve read a lot of funny stories today, but this beats them all! Only someone who has experienced a bad hair day can really appreciate what a blow to one's ego a bad hair day can cause. And I certainly can relate. Your art work is wonderful. Thanks for the good laugh.

  17. Linda! What can I say? You have blown me completely away with your fantastic story with illustrations!! This has to be the best piece of artwork and writing that I have ever seen on the blog. It is so clever and so funny and, best of all, so entertaining. The thing that really surprises me is that I am assuming English isn't your first language. If this is so, your use of colloquialisms is just AMAZING. Take a bow Linda because I am sending you a standing ovation. BRILLIANT.

  18. Thank you all sooo much for your kind comments!!! I'm so happy you enjoyed my story :) The thing is, I was really struggeling with this theme, when 'lightning' struck and the rest is now history :) And Marie, you're right, My first language is norwegian, which is very different from english but we started learing english in school at ten, and most music and films are english so that's an advantage :) I'm happy to hear I'm not embarresing myself language wise around here :)

    oxo Linda
